Lead- R&D Engineer

Job Overview-

We are looking for a creative and innovative Mechanical/ Mechatronics Design Engineer who are passionate and enthusiastic to work in a startup environment in the domain of the use of robotics in the Surgical field in the healthcare sector with long-term commitment. Today is the opportunity for all who want to modernize India with innovative advanced devices to improve the outcome in an economical way. This Startup was started by a clinician turned entrepreneur who wanted to help poor patients with accurate and timely care with innovative instruments. The candidate will learn a multidisciplinary role and will have an opportunity to excel in their career along with the startup. Currently, we are a team of 2 and are expanding our team to include potential candidates who want to change the world. The founding team members will get ESOP’s and in later stages will be promoted to CTO, CFO, COO based on their performance and outcome. We are also calling all the researchers across India looking for research opportunities and intellectual property creation.
The candidate will be in a lead role & will be part of the Founding team working on all stages of product development starting from research, designing, prototyping, manufacturing, till installation and final commissioning of the product into the market.
You will get a chance to work and interact first hand with mentors and experts from IIT Bombay and top-notch surgeons with huge experience in the medical field

At Denovo we have a team of doctors, surgeons and engineers who have come together to identify the unmet clinical need of doctors and develop innovative solutions to address those needs. Denovo was started by a doctor with a vision to empower surgeons with technologically advanced and affordable innovative solutions. We aim to develop medical devices across surgical care and make India “Aatmanirbhar” in Medical Devices. We are funded and supported by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. We are targeting an immediate million-dollar market, enabling tremendous value creation in a short time for a strong technologist having an entrepreneurial attitude.

Responsibilities-

Fully functional product development designing, mechanism development, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and trails).
The candidate will work on "innovative concept development" for medical devices and health care products.
Concept commercialization through " Design for manufacturing" activity.
Plan, conceptualize and create mechanical designs for new products.
Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software 3D CAD package.
Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process
Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
The right selection of "Materials/processes" for new product development.
Vendor development for "Special materials/tooling/ Manufacturing" whenever required.

Qualification:

B.Tech/M.Tech/Dual Degree/Fresher in Mechatronics/ Mechanical.

Job Profile:

Fully functional product development including concept development, designing, mechanism development, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and trials.
The candidate will work on ‘innovative concept development’ for medical devices and health care products.
Candidate must be proficient in CAD Modeling, product simulation and analysis tools (e.g. Solidwork simulation, ANSYS etc)
Concept commercialization through ‘Design for manufacturing activity.
Plan conceptualizes and creates mechanical designs for new products.
Experience in Degrees of freedom and electronic circuits & feedback system.
Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software 3D CAD package.
Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
The right selection of ‘materials/processes’ for new product development and Manufacturing
Vendor development for ‘special materials/tooling/manufacturing’ whenever required.
Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
Must be self-motivated and a great team worker.
The candidate must be multitasking. Candidates with multidisciplinary accomplishments will be given preference.

Next, we will set up a conversation with the founder according to mutual availability via Zoom or Meet. This will be a short chat to learn more about you and your interests, to share more about the job and Denovo, and to answer any initial questions you have.

Deep dive interview - Selection mails for the Screening Round will be sent to the candidates. You will be requested to share updated requirements.

Technical interview

Final interview with the Founding team and mentors.

***If you are a pass out from a distinguished institute like IIT, NIT, etc, or have extraordinary achievements, you will be given grace marks in the interview round.

**Selected candidate will be compensated with best in industry salary . Candidates will also be incentivized in Equity in form of SAR or ESOP’s benefits up to 25 Lakh or both based on the administrative decision.
